Omitting the “I”
Is it alright to omit the word “I” in some cases. If I have already been writing about myself and I slip in a sentence that says for example, “Will be in town next week.” Is this acceptable or should I write “I” at the beginning of each sentence?
Your example sounds like something in an email, and like Hairy Scot I would have no problem accepting that in informal communication. On the other hand, I would not use it in, say, a letter to a college you wanted to visit.

I'd say it's acceptable in all but the "most formal" communications.
