A similar (though not the same) violation is the persistent misuse of the phrase "very unique." Uniqueness is binary and cannot be measured in degrees.

BTW, I despise the argument that language "evolves," so if a word or usage is commonplace, it is therefore correct. In many cases, this only serves to diminish the power of language (see "awesome" and "epic").
