I find this entire thread quite puzzling and amusing.

The beauty of the English language is that it is not static and constantly evolves. Just because a word had a meaning doesn't mean that meaning or usage is permanently fixed. For instance how many ejaculations are in the bible and how fewer people are gay today than in the 16th century.

Outside of law, the definition in popular use is as correct as the original.
