We use "used to+verb" and "would+verb" to talk about repeated actions in the past which don't happen now. The only difference is "Don't use "would" with state verbs". E.g. I used to like yoghur. Not: I would like yoghurt. It is better to use a time clause with the first sentence (of a story) if you want to use "would". E.g. when I was a child, I would eat chocolate everyday. When you are in doubt, use "ued to". ????
