Fuff

What does “fuff” mean Dave? Is a corruption of puff?

the word fuff means a wild cat spitting in scottish and another meaning is an exhalation of cigar smoke. And yes it is actually my surname, been in the family for at least several hundred years...

Pssst... KyleKat, the second word Dave refers to is "off." "Fuff" is basically a portmanteau word for a US expression that people in the UK render as "sod off."

LOL.

It was a joke, a combination of two words beginning and ending fu- and -ff consecutively.

I'm afraid I'll probably have to leave you to work it out. :D
